FRONT-END DEVELOPER (Javascript/Typescript)

Remote
Employee
IT / Software

We are a SaaS for companies and private people to manage all their workflows around documents in. Our go to market strategy is unique, because we first take our customers' biggest pain their postal mail/paper away by rerouting it to our scancentres. That way we win their realworld document inflow. Then we empower them with our CAYA SaaS - which is a toolbox that enables them to get that paperwork done efficiently. Currently with this approach we convinced thousands of paying customers of our value.

Next up, we want to become a pure SaaS player that offers increasing value without our scanservices. To do so we add digital sources for the PDF manager and will enable teams to work together on document based workflows within our document cloud. We expect some more organic growth to come with these features and will want to optimize those cycles.

Tasks

  • We work with our cutting edge technology stack which we enjoy using on a day to day basis. We will offer you a lot of freedom to “learn on the job” by contributing to any area of development that interests you and you’ll be able to take ownership on the development flow from architecture design to testing to implementation and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ideally TypeScript)
  • Experience working with HTML5, CSS, web APIs
  • Experience with libraries and frameworks such as React and Redux
  • Great understanding of the React component composition model and higher-order components
  • Familiarity with the concept of single-page applications
  • Practical experience developing complex front-end architectures
  • Ability to learn new development strategies and patterns

Benefits

  • Efficiency of our developers is one of our main goals. Therefore we invest in tooling and we invest in our processes. Additionally we give our developers a high degree of freedom and a proper review process. We aim to enable us to develop professionally together and individually.
  • We are an agile team that believes in proper preparation before development. Reiterating on designs and grooming technical solutions properly is an important step in our process. We try not to waste our time in meetings, but try to keep our team as efficient as possible.
  • Have the opportunity to participate in our company's success via our employee participation program. Free choice of equipment and operating system. Fully remote work possible.
  • After-work drinks / retreats (will come back after COVID)

We are building our product with a small senior team of 5 developers, one designer, one PM and one product owner (separate small product team for marketing). We want to keep our engineering team small, because we believe in the power of quality over quantity. We therefore hire very slowly and selectively and will put you through a proper technical interview process, so that you and us can make sure that we really are a fit. Life is too short for not enjoying work together. In Q1 2021 we will add one “squad” - “squad” meaning: 1FTE Product + 1FTE Frontend + 1FTE Backend. No more / No less.
